TESTOSTERONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY (TRT)

Who might benefit from tRt?

If you have come across this website, there is a good chance that you would! Are you feeling fatigued? Run down? Overweight? Struggling to put on or maintain muscle mass? Struggling with erectile dysfunction? Have a decrease in your libido? Any or all of the above? Testosterone plays an important role in all of these areas and then some.

Many clinics will only look at your total testosterone and tell you if you need testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or not. We will not start you on TRT unless we believe it will be a benefit to your life.

We have seen firsthand how beneficial TRT can be, and that is why Chris Mckeown, owner of Quali-T Men’s Health in Salem, is on Testosterone Therapy as well! Having an adequate testosterone level can improve nearly every aspect of your day-to-day life and interpersonal relationships. Come find out if you are suffering from low testosterone levels and get the help you need today.

WHAT IS TRT?

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is a medical treatment used to address low testosterone levels in men. Testosterone is a crucial hormone responsible for the development of male sexual characteristics through puberty, as well as for maintaining bone density, muscle mass, red blood cell production, energy, motivation, libido, erection quality, etc. Low testosterone levels can lead to a variety of symptoms such as fatigue, decreased libido, ED, weight gain, muscle loss, weaker bones, poor insulin sensitivity, foggy thinking, etc.

TRT involves the administration of testosterone through various methods in order to bring your testosterone level up to an optimal level. The goal of TRT is to find what level you best function at, even if it is at the top of the “reference range”.  There is a BIG difference between “normal” and optimal and we here at Quali-T Men’s Health want you to be in the optimal range. We achieve this by utilizing bioidentical testosterone with great results!

treatment options

There are several ways to address suboptimal or low testosterone levels. The first method includes injections of testosterone. This can be accomplished in the comfort of your own home. We will show you how to aseptically (cleanly) give yourself the injections to keep you safe while increasing your testosterone levels. A second way to increase testosterone levels effectively is to utilize a topical testosterone cream. There are vast differences in types of topical testosterone, so even if it hasn’t worked for you in the past or you have heard it doesn’t work, we may have a way that works for you! Both options are great, but one likely fits your lifestyle better. We will discuss this in much more detail at your initial visit!  We do not offer implantable pellets because we do not feel they are as stable and come with side effects that we do not wish to put you through.

If you decide you would like to start with testosterone replacement after the initial visit, we will enroll you in a subscription plan for a flat monthly fee (see our cost page HERE). This subscription covers medications, supplies, shipping, follow up labs, and provider visits. Provider visits do NOT cost extra. There is no annual fee. Everything is transparent and there are no surprise costs. What you see is what you get!

If you discontinue TRT, your testosterone levels will likely return to their pre-treatment levels, and symptoms of low testosterone will likely reappear. We can guide you through the process if you choose to stop, ensuring a safe transition.

  1. Can I use TRT if I have other medical conditions?

TRT may still be appropriate if you have certain medical conditions, but it’s essential to discuss your complete medical history. We carefully assess and monitor each patient to ensure TRT is safe and beneficial.
